Traditionally the bagpipes are played at many weddings in Scotland. The stirring sound of the pipes creates a tremendous atmosphere and will certainly enhance your big day.  I have played at many weddings and I am familiar with the popular local venues.  In October 2010 I travelled to Poland to pipe at a wedding in Puck which was a privilege and I have played in a local forest one Christmas Eve for a couple who marries in the snow with a temperature of -6 degrees.

Special requests for tunes may be made provided the piece can be played on the bagpipes. Alternatively I can recommend suitable music and discuss this with you.

No two weddings are the same and although the list below gives suggestions for piping at a wedding this can easily be adapted to suit individual requirements.  Please contact

me to discuss any specific requests.  

Requests for photographs with the newly weds or guests are common and I am happy to do this. For a selection photographs see the gallery page.

Generally a small non refundable deposit will be required to secure a booking made well in advance.  I will confirm my attendance and details of the booking in writing.

Piping is usual for all/some of the following

• Arrival of guests at ceremony
• Arrival of Bride and Bridesmaids
• Pipe Bride into ceremony
• Pipe Bride and Groom out
• For the Newly-weds coming outside
• While photographs are being taken
• Arrival of guests and Wedding Party at reception
• Pipe in Bride, Groom and top table guests
